From Mountaintimes.com

Music on the Mountaintop, the annual music festival outside Boone, will return Aug. 24 to 26 as “Railroad Earth's Music on the Mountaintop.”

Celebrating its fifth year, the festival is expanding to include three full days of music, including two nights of Railroad Earth and other special events on Sunday with the band.

Having played the previous two Music on the Mountaintop festivals, the Americana-based band will be taking on a bigger role, helping to curate the lineup for 2012. More artists and festival details will be announced in the coming weeks, festival organizers said.

"Railroad Earth is thrilled to be bringing our energy and fan base together with Music on the Mountaintop, to build this into something for years to come," Railroad Earth general manager Brian Ross said.

Keeping in mind A) financial restrictions & B) that RRE wants to be the headliner (so they wouldn't want to book a band that would overshadow them), what other bands would you like to see booked to play this festival?

From past lineups it appears this festival is heavy on the bluegrass side of things, so these bands probably wouldn't get much consideration, but ... I'd like to see Assembly of Dust & 7 Walkers. And if the powers that be were really willing to go out on a limb, they'd book The New Mastersounds--this band can really lay down some funky !@#$%!

You're welcome Doug.
